Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow so much to write. Can’t believe it’s nearly been a month since my last post but it seems during the holiday season time goes crazy quick and I find my to do list has been rather neglected and doubled in length…

Well firstly I would like to wish everyone a belated merry Christmas and happy New Year :)

And now I will get to the exciting news, I recently entered a painting into a competition held by the company Hint Mint. It was a festive themed contest and one person won each day on the countdown till Christmas day. I was thrilled to discover I had won for the 19th day, this being extra special as it was also my birthday :) There were lots of great winners and it was a fantastic, fun competition to enter. I very much hope they do it again next year! Below are two pictures of the painting I entered, I tried to scan it but the blue background kept disappearing so I apologise for the poor quality photographs…

One of the rules for the competition was to include either the companies logo or leaves. The image itself is a lot different to my usual work but I decided to give the painting to my sister and I knew she would appreciate something sweet and lacking in skulls…

I also had a commission just before Christmas which was another fun little painting to do and again different from my usual work. Below is a picture of it and I’m glad to report the owner loved it.

Furthermore, I wanted to say how I find Christmas a great time to create fun things either as presents for people or making your own cards (plus it tends to be more economic and heart felt!). So I thought I would include a few pictures of the things I made, one being a present to my Doctor Who fan brother and some cards I gave out to the family. I really like the cards and might make more to sell :)

Christmas Cards and high five baby Jesus

Howdy everyone! It’s that time of year again when the Christmas panic sets in and the shops have already been selling festive related things from the beginning of October. Ahhhh sweet commercialism!

In comparison to most shops I have been a bit late on getting all my xmas related cards onto my esty shop, however this would be understandable if you knew me and how slow-as-a-sloth I am. But yay, they are now up on my shop and hopefully there are still some people out there who are not yet prepared for the holiday season and would like a creepy looking baby Jesus to send to their loved ones. Here is a little preview of the cards I have for sale with the designs taken from original paintings by myself, and they come with pretty gold envelopes (really fallen in love with the colour gold these past few months!).

And if you are tempted by weird snow-thingies you can find them for sale on my etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/CorinthiaArt :)

In an unrelated topic, I went to Aberystwyth this week to visit some friends which was a nice little break and while there I went to my favourite shop of all time Her Dandy Wolf. If you ever manage to visit Aberystwyth definitely make time to visit this shop and support an independent business!

Now time to work and catch up on my ‘to do list’. All the best, Corinthia x
