ACEO art

So it turns out I love making ACEOs (art card editions and originals or ‘artist trading cards’) ;) I spent most of university making rather large work and now I’m challenging myself with creating tiny work – to be specific 2.5″ x 3.5″.

I am building up a little collection now and have an idea to make a zine containing my favourites at some point but for now I’ll just get them all finished and put them up for sale on my etsy shop, just waiting for the protective cellophane bags to arrive.

Making these ACEOs has inspired me to create even smaller paintings and I see it as a good exercise because it forces me to become more intricate with detail. Not to mention it means I need to have a steady hand so I don’t mess anything up.

Oh and on an unrelated note, I am very much still in love with gold and halos :) plus I found some glitter glue (which belongs to my sister so shhhh she doesn’t know…) and I couldn’t help but using it <3

Btw, I found some adorable ornate frames which I had to buy and they are the perfect size for ACEOs :)
